Murad Musaev, who made "Krasnodar" the champion of Russia in the 2024/25 season, gave an extensive interview to "Sport-express". Sport24.az reports that the 41-year-old specialist also recalled his time at "Sabah":
"When we went to Azerbaijan, we started trying a lot of new things there. New ideas, emotions, and excellent results emerged. I am proud of the work I did at the club, which was new at the time and is now one of the largest in the country, which will play in the European Cups for the third time after winning the cup with Vasili Berezutski.
"When I took over "Sabah", the team was in last place. Although we finished the season in 5th place, the team became second in terms of points scored after our arrival. In the next season, we already won "silver" by playing beautiful football with hybrid schemes. We had to go through a lot of difficulties."
It should be noted that Musaev coached "Sabah" between 2021-24. Under his leadership, the "Owls" won 48 of the 84 official matches they played, and lost 23. They drew in 16 matches.
