Former Real Madrid forward Predrag Mijatovic has stated that Los Blancos forward Kylian Mbappe is not the team's leader.
Idman.Biz reports that the Frenchman has made 29 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 36 goals and providing five assists.
"I think Real Madrid lacks a leader, not a game-changer. I don't see a leader saying, 'What are we doing?' Sergio Ramos, Modric, Benzema, Fernando Hierro, Raul... A leader who attracts attention. In my generation, Fernando Hierro was a leader, and if he said something, it had to be done.
Mbappe is a great player, but he is not a leader. Zidane was not a leader in France, but he was the best player. Goals do not make Mbappe a leader. The players act as if they are the best in the world and have no mistakes. This is fatigue, complacency... I don't see the spark," Cadena SER quotes Mijatovic as saying.
