The statistics regarding the participation of local players in the championship after the abolition of the legionnaire limit in the Misli Premier League in the 2025/2026 season have been revealed.
According to a short study conducted by Sport24.az, the number of Azerbaijani football players fielded by the teams during the 16 rounds held in the first half of the season has been determined.
According to the statistics, "Kapaz" was the team that gave the most chances to local players in the first 16 rounds of the season. The Ganja representative fielded 15 Azerbaijani football players during this period. "Gabala" and "Karvan-Yevlakh" clubs settled in the next steps with 12 local players each.
"Araz-Nakhchivan", "Garabagh" and "Imishli" teams gave a chance to 10 local football players each in the first half of the season. "Shamakhi" and "Sumgayit" clubs attracted attention with 11 players in this indicator.
9 Azerbaijani football players appeared in "Turan Tovuz", and 8 in "Sabah" and "Zira" each. The capital representative "Neftchi" was the team that gave a chance to 7 local football players in the first 16 rounds.
