Former Liverpool and Manchester United forward Michael Owen has compared the behavior of striker Alexander Isak and defender Marc Guehi during their transfer campaigns.
Idman.biz recalls that Isak moved from Newcastle to Liverpool, while Crystal Palace did not allow Guehi to move to the Reds.
"Hmm. Misbehave and you'll get the transfer you want. Act like a gentleman and you'll miss the opportunity of a lifetime. If that's the conclusion, there's no need to predict how players will behave in the future," Owen wrote on his social media account.
Alexander Isak has been playing for Newcastle since the summer of 2022. In total, he has scored 54 goals and 10 assists in 86 Premier League matches. It is worth recalling that, according to media reports, the forward boycotted Newcastle training in order to force the management to let him go to Liverpool.
Guehi, in turn, played 44 matches in all tournaments last season, scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists. According to reports, although the defender agreed on the details of his contract with Liverpool, Crystal Palace changed its mind at the last moment.
