Former Turkish national team player Mevlüt Erdinç, who wore the jerseys of French PSG and Turkish Fenerbahçe during his career, assessed "Qarabag's" performance in the UEFA Champions League (CL) and shared his impressions of the Azerbaijani national team.
The veteran striker said that he still remembers with great pleasure the match he played against "Qarabag" in Baku in 2014 as part of the French club "Saint-Etienne" (0:0), and that the Aghdam representative has developed a lot since then: "The match ended in a goalless draw. There was a very good atmosphere at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium. Gurban Gurbanov is a very experienced coach and his team is doing very well in the Champions League under his leadership. As a Turk, I am proud of the brotherly country Azerbaijan," he said in a statement to AZERTAC.
M. Erdinç emphasized that the "stallions" also have a good chance in the fifth round match against "Napoli" in Italy on November 26: "Napoli" has a very strong squad, but "Qarabag" is achieving positive results in the Champions League and is already playing with confidence.
