"Manchester United" will hold preliminary talks with several specialists, including three former "Red Devils" players - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Michael Carrick and Ruud van Nistelrooy - who could serve as interim head coach.

According to the publication, the Manchester United leadership is inclined to appoint an experienced interim manager until the end of the season before approving a permanent candidate in the summer. Solskjaer has already met with representatives of Manchester United.
This week, Darren Fletcher will serve as interim head coach. Solskjaer coached the "Red Devils" from 2018 to 2021. On January 5, Manchester United announced the departure of Ruben Amorim from the head coach position. The Portuguese coach led the club from November 11, 2024 to January 5, 2026.
