According to the decision, midfielder Emin Mahmudov was selected as the main captain, and goalkeepers Emil Balayev and Kenan Piric were selected as vice-captains.
The former leader of "Neftchi" did not consider it the right decision to give the vice-captaincy to the goalkeeper of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, who is one of the team's new transfers: "So, there are no leaders among Azerbaijani football players that they entrusted the captain's armband to a legionnaire.
