"We made our decision about Mahir Emreli a long time ago. We will not change our minds."
İdman.biz reports that this was said by Miroslav Klose, the head coach of the German club "Nuremberg".
The coach of the II Bundesliga representative noted that the decision not to extend the contract with the Azerbaijani national team player Mahir Emreli will not change: "For me, the overall situation of the football player is always important. We know in which big clubs he played, what he gained in high leagues. He said that he wanted to come to our team and work with me. No matter how much we suffered, let's admit that we had no chance to continue working together. But this does not spoil our relationship."
Emreli, who scored a hat-trick in the last round of the II Bundesliga, touched on his game against Eintracht (4:1): "Some football players did not play in the last match in order not to take risks during the transfer period. But my mentality is different. I think that you should always put your full strength where you get money and love. Not only me, but also my family, my mother, we all loved this city, stadium, atmosphere, and fans. We will always miss Nuremberg."
It should be noted that Nuremberg and Emreli have reached an agreement not to extend the contract, which expires in the summer.
