"Leganes" midfielder Juan Cruz is considering taking paternity leave because the management does not want to sell him to another team.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, Juan Cruz informed the management of the Spanish "Leganes" a few months ago about his desire to leave the team. Although the club received several offers, it refuses to sell the Spaniard for less than 10 million euros. Because of this, negotiations are disrupted.
25-year-old Cruz does not want to play for Leganes. The footballer will soon become a father, so he is considering taking paternity leave instead of his wife.
Last season, Cruz played 34 games in La Liga. He scored five goals and made four assists. At the end of the season, the Madrid-area club finished 18th and was relegated to the Segunda. In the opening match of the 2025/26 season, Leganes drew away with Huesca (1:1).
The Transfermarkt portal estimates Cruz's value at five million euros. The midfielder previously played for Malaga and Betis.
