Barcelona president Joan Laporta has commented on the club's interest in Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez.
Idman.Biz reports that Alvarez's contract with Atletico runs until the summer of 2030.
"Julian Alvarez is reportedly an excellent player who would fit perfectly into the Barcelona system. But he is not worth spending a fortune on. First, he must demonstrate his readiness for this transfer. The price must also be reasonable," said Laporta.
This season, Alvarez has made 40 appearances in all competitions, scoring 14 goals and providing six assists. According to Transfermarkt, Alvarez's market value is 100 million euros.
