Barcelona's 18-year-old striker, Lamine Yamal, spoke about his desires ahead of the "Golden Ball" presentation ceremony, which will be held on September 22 at the Châtelet Theater in Paris.
According to İdman.biz, the young talent admitted that he "hopes" to win the award, for which he is nominated along with his teammates Pedri, Robert Lewandowski, and Rafinha.
Yamal scored 18 goals and provided 25 assists in 55 matches last season. He started the new season equally brightly, scoring 5 goals in the first three rounds of La Liga.
"Being nominated at 18 is something to be appreciated. Every footballer dreams of the 'Golden Ball', and I hope it will happen. But above all, winning the Champions League with Barcelona is an incredible goal for the whole team," Yamal said in an interview with RTVE.
The forward will play his next matches for the Spanish national team in the World Cup qualifying round on September 4 against Bulgaria and on September 7 against Turkey.
