24-year-old Georgian attacker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia could have transferred to the French club "Nice" before moving to "Napoli".
Idman.Biz reports this with reference to the newspaper "L'Équipe".
Negotiations took place in the middle of the 2021/2022 season, when the player was playing for "Rubin Kazan".
The "Nice" management was impressed by the midfielder's performance in the Russian Premier League and was ready to sign a contract. However, the club faced administrative difficulties. The player's agent did not have the necessary registration in France to conduct negotiations, and his transfer demands were too high.
As a result, Kvaratskhelia left "Rubin" and, after a short spell at "Dinamo Batumi", signed a contract with "Napoli". The attacker has been playing for PSG since January 2025.
