Sweden lost 0:1 at home to Kosovo in the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup. Sport24.az reports that after this defeat, many experts are demanding the resignation of the national team's head coach, Jon Dahl Tomasson.
Commentator Peter Mörtvedt called the Danish specialist's work disgraceful on TV 2: "This is one of the biggest disgraces in Swedish football history. It was shameful, sad and terrible for all Swedes to watch this. Dahl Tomasson will be fired before the Swedish newspapers start publishing."
Sweden's top scorer Johan Elmander told "Radiosporten": "There is no discussion. He has already played his last match for the Swedish national team".
It should be noted that the Swedish national team is last in Group B with one point after 4 games.
