Real Madrid forward Kilian Mbappe has stated that he is proud to be compared to former Real Madrid player Cristiano Ronaldo. Sport24.az reports that the French star footballer made a statement to Marca newspaper about this:
"Everyone knows that Ronaldo is a benchmark for Real Madrid. I've been in Madrid for a year and a half, while he wore Real's jersey for nine years. I cannot compare myself to him and my successes with his achievements. My path is different, I want to go my own way. But the fact that my name is mentioned alongside Ronaldo is already a source of pride. My goal is not to surpass Ronaldo, but to achieve success in the team."
It should be noted that Mbappe was awarded the "Golden Boot" award for last season yesterday.
