"Khankendi" Executive Director talks about team's preparation and goals

"The atmosphere within the team is excellent. Preparation for the new season is continuing at a high level. We are preparing very well. Almost all our work is completed. We are eagerly awaiting our first game in the Second League." These words were said by Vasif Ismayilov, the Executive Director of "Khankendi", in his statement to Sport24.az.

He spoke about the goals of the team that will play in the Second League in the 2025/2026 season:

"The team's goal is to rise to the First League. If fate allows, we want to compete in a higher league next season. We have played friendly matches. After 2-3 games, the team will show the game we want on the field. There may be shortcomings in the first rounds. I don't think we will face any major difficulties. There are enough experienced players in the squad. We believe that everything will go as we want. We have applied to the Ministry of Youth and Sports regarding the stadium. There is no news yet. Repair work is being carried out in the arena. We are eagerly waiting to play in Khankendi. We think we will hold the second round games there. We are truly burning to play in that stadium."

It should be noted that "Khankendi" won the championship in the Region League last season, gaining the right to participate in the II League.
