Swedish-Iraqi midfielder Kevin Yakob has once again become the subject of transfer rumors. The Azerbaijani champion "Qarabağ" is interested in the football player who has regained his form after a long-term injury.
İdman.Biz reports that "Fotbolltransfers" published information about Yakob, who currently plays for the Danish club "Orhus".
The 25-year-old football player underwent a recovery process for approximately two years due to an injury. He has returned to the field again this season and regained his previous form. Yakob has contributed to his team with one goal and two assists in 18 games in all tournaments. He appeared in the starting lineup in half of those matches.
Currently, "Orhus" leads the Superliga standings after 18 rounds and is four points ahead of its closest follower. However, questions about Yakob's future remain open.
The football player's agent, Alex Reggiani, confirmed the existence of interest in him:
"Kevin has started enjoying the game again and is performing well this season. Several clubs are interested, but I don't want to name names as a sign of respect for all parties."
To the question about the January transfer window, the agent answered:
"Kevin has a contract and feels very comfortable in "Orhus". He has focused all his attention on the second part of the season. The team has big goals and Kevin sees himself as one of the key figures. But if an interesting option arises for both the club and the football player, we will certainly consider it."
It should be noted that Kevin Yakob's contract with "Orhus" is valid until the summer of 2027.
