"Yesterday's game was not good for us, but everyone is happy about the Champions League."
Idman.Biz reports that these words were said by Qarabag defender Kevin Medina to journalists at the airport after returning to Baku after the game with Liverpool.
The Colombian defender also shared his thoughts on potential opponents in the play-off stage:
"This is history and now Qarabag must continue its journey. Now we are waiting for the play-off stage and I think everything will be fine in the future. Anything happens in football. We must now focus on the championship. We will see what happens in the future."
It should be noted that Qarabag lost 0:6 to Liverpool in England in the last round of the league stage. Despite the big defeat, Qarabag, which finished the tournament table in 22nd place with 10 points, qualified for the next round. Thus, the "stallions" became the first Azerbaijani club to reach the play-off stage of the Champions League.
