Kazakhstan's "Kayrat" club may achieve a positive result in the Champions League qualifying round match against Belgium's "Brugge".
Idman.Biz reports that former football player Yelmar Nabiyev, currently the head of a football academy in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, shared his thoughts on the matter.
The expert, in a statement to sports.kz, associated "Kayrat"'s main chances with local factors:
"A positive result against "Brugge" is only possible due to the home field factor. In this case, we are talking about "Astana Arena", an artificial turf, and severe frost. I am sure that the Almaty team has adapted to such conditions better than their opponent."
It should be noted that the "Kayrat" - "Brugge" match will be held today in Astana. The match will start at 19:30 Baku time.
