"We are in a difficult period as a national team." These words were said by Kamal Bayramov in his statement to Sport24.az.
The veteran goalkeeper, who left "Shamakhi" at the end of the season and ended his football career, shared his thoughts on which goalkeeper Fernando Santos will trust in the friendly matches with Latvia and Hungary:
"It will be even more difficult in the coming years. There are quality players, but we cannot develop as a team. Let's not just say it's a friendly game and move on. We expect attractive football from our national team in these matches. No matter what game our national team plays, winning is a must and it is motivation for the next matches. The goalkeepers invited to the national team are almost at the same level. In the current situation, whoever looks more eager and motivated should protect the 'frame'. Shahhruddin, Rza, Aydin are reliable goalkeepers."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team will face Latvia in Riga on June 7, and 3 days later, Hungary in Baku.
