- What do you think about the game?
- It was a difficult match. The opponent played with a five-man defense and three players in front of them. It is always difficult to fight against such teams. We played patiently. We created a lot of goal opportunities. Although we missed our goal chances, thank God, we scored some of them. When we face such difficulties in such games, it is very important to find a way out, score and win.
- How did facing Imishli before the game with Chelsea affect you?
- I think that it is necessary to prepare for all games in the same way. That's how I see it as a professional athlete. I don't differentiate between any games, whether it's a game with Imishli or a meeting with Chelsea. The match with Imishli is over, now the next important meeting is against Chelsea.
- You lost to Athletic on the road. I guess you have learned from your mistakes. Considering all this, do you believe that you will achieve a successful result with Chelsea in your home walls?
- Of course, experience is in place, and we will have the support of our fans because we play at home. But the fan never comes out and runs for you. 11 people will play against 11 people on the field. We know that we have to run, fight, and put everything on the field to win or get a positive result. As I said, the support of the fans is in place, but we must also fight to achieve something.
- After the game with Imishli, you will have 5 days to prepare for the match with Chelsea. Is time enough for you?
- We play against every opponent in the same way, with the same system, with the same philosophy. Therefore, it is not expected that the coach will change anything or make any serious changes just for the game with Chelsea. Since we play the same against every opponent, the game with Imishli was also a preparation for the Chelsea match.
- You won the meeting with Imishli with only 2 goals, and you even gave a chance to score in several episodes. Why did a team playing in the Champions League have such difficulty against the Premier League debutant?
- It has nothing to do with it. Just because Imishli joined the Premier League this year, is everyone going to score against them from anywhere? After all, Imishli is a good team, there was always a one-on-one fight, they played with a five-man defense. It's not easy.
