Former Manchester United, Chelsea, and Argentina midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron has been banned from all football activities for six months. Sport24.az reports that the Argentine Football Association (AFA) imposed the ban following a controversial incident.
According to local media, Veron, who is currently the president of Estudiantes, ordered his team's players to turn their backs on their rivals Rosario Central during the guard of honour.
It should be noted that Rosario Central was declared Argentine champion based on the sum of points collected from Apertura and Clausura before the playoffs. Previously, this decision was only applied in the Copa Libertadores.
