Benfica head coach Jose Mourinho commented on the defeat to Chelsea (0:1) in the 2nd round of the Champions League. Sport24.az reports that he made a statement about this on the official UEFA website:
"There were only two days between matches and we didn't train, we just recovered. One of my strengths on the field, if you can call it that, is my training, but we didn't have time for that. There is currently a lot of pressure on the players.
The problem is not today, but the defeat to "Qarabag". I think we worked hard enough to get a point today, but we still couldn't. We tried. It wasn't enough, but it's okay. Still, the impressions are positive."
Note that after the second round, Chelsea is in 17th place with 3 points. Benfica, without points, is in 30th place. In the 3rd round, Chelsea will face Ajax (October 22) and Benfica will face Newcastle (October 21).
