Liverpool defender Jeremie Frimpong has spoken about the injuries he has suffered during his career and how he has overcome these trials. The Dutch footballer did not hide the difficulties he faced, especially this season.
İdman.Biz reports with reference to "The Telegraph" that Frimpong said that the injuries were unexpected for him.
"I've almost never been injured in my career. The only long break was due to an operation after a rough tackle. But this season I've already been injured three times. A hamstring injury? That had never happened to me before. The fact that the team is not playing at the desired level makes the situation even more difficult. If we win the English Cup or the Champions League, everything won't look so bad," the defender emphasized.
The experienced player said that the support of his family and loved ones played a big role in his morale:
"You have to understand that football players are also human beings, they have feelings. When you come home, you start thinking about all these things. You have to do something to avoid drowning in your own thoughts. In these difficult days, my family and my loved one were by my side and helped me. I'm not going to lie, it was really hard. But when I felt bad, my loved ones helped me get out of that depressive state by focusing my attention on other things."
It should be noted that Frimpong has been out of the green fields several times this season due to injury, which has affected Liverpool's defensive line.
