"Al-Ahli" and England national team striker Ivan Toney has been arrested by police in London on suspicion of assaulting a person in a bar. Sport24.az reports with reference to "The Sun" that the victim grabbed Toney by the neck to take a selfie with him. After that, the 29-year-old footballer headbutted him.
According to witnesses, the person injured by Toney suffered a broken nose and finger and facial injuries.
Although the footballer was released on bail, the investigation is ongoing.
It should be noted that Toney was last called up to the England national team in June this year. This season, he has made 18 appearances for "Al-Ahli", scoring 12 goals and providing one assist.
