Swiss alpine skier and two-time Olympic champion Michelle Gisin suffered serious injuries while preparing for the Women's World Cup. Sport24.az reports that the incident occurred on Thursday morning.
The 32-year-old athlete lost control of her skis while traveling at 110 km/h and crashed into the second safety net.
Although she did not lose consciousness during the accident, she suffered cuts to her face. The athlete was transported by helicopter from the mountain to a medical facility.
It should be noted that the Swiss athlete was the winner of the Winter Olympic Games held in South Korea in 2018 and in China in 2022.
