"We have six points. If "Benfica" had not lost at home to "Qarabag" in the first game of the group, we would now have nine points and would be one step away from qualifying for the next stage," J.Mourinho emphasized.
The Portuguese specialist said that this defeat made the team's job difficult.
"The calendar is incredibly difficult, but that defeat immediately put us in an unfavorable position. Therefore, today's victory was extremely important - otherwise the story would end here," he added.
It should be noted that in the 6th round of the main stage of the Champions League, "Benfica" defeated the Italian club "Napoli" 2:0 in Lisbon.
