Star football player of Croatian club "Hajduk" Ivan Rakitic may not participate in the matches against "Zira" in the II qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League. Sport24.az reports with reference to the local press that the fate of the 37-year-old midfielder in Split is questionable.
The team has started preparing for the new season. But the experienced player is on vacation in Greece with his wife. He will wait for the Supervisory Board meeting to be held on June 30 and will make a decision based on the management's plans.
There is also a possibility that Rakitic will end his career or work in another position at the club. The contract of the football player, whose contract has expired, can be extended for another year.
It should be noted that the first match between "Hajduk" and "Zira" will be held on July 23 at "Neftchi Arena". The return match will be on July 31.
