The Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan has hosted the country's amputee football team.
According to "Report", the embassy announced this on its official "X" social media page.
"The Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan was honored to host the Israeli football team of people with physical disabilities for dinner at the Ambassador's residence as part of the tournament held in Baku. We congratulated the team on their impressive performance so far and wished them success in their upcoming games. Yesterday, the team proudly finished the tournament in second place. This is a great achievement!" the post said.
It should be noted that the Israeli amputee football team finished the League of Nations C group, held in Baku, with a silver medal. The team finished second in the tournament table, one point behind leader Ukraine, who had 9 points. Azerbaijani football players took third place with 7 points.
