An interview with Islam Hasanov, a football player of the Azerbaijan U-17 national team, who belongs to the Serbian "Srvena Zvezda" team on a contract basis and plays for another club in the country, "Graficar", on a lease basis, to AZERTAC
- In January of this year, you moved from the Serbian "Srvena Zvezda" team to another club in the country, "Graficar", on a lease basis. How is your work going in this team?
- Frankly, everything is fine. I have fully adapted to the team. The adaptation process of a football player is not easy, but it was not difficult for me. This year, a stronger team has been formed. We understand each other very well on and off the field.
- Are you satisfied with the lifestyle in Serbia?
- The life of a professional football player requires discipline. I live the life of a real athlete: training, home, study and training again. There are times when we train 2-3 times. I enjoy it. Every workout strengthens me both physically and psychologically. That's why I consider myself happy to live in such a regime.
- Recently, you scored in the last minutes of the match against "Partizan" as part of the "Graficar" U-19 team and were the main contributor to the 3:2 victory...
- I entered that game in the 59th minute. I already felt good on the field and tried to help my team. In the 83rd minute, I scored the winning goal. This was my first goal in the championship and it cannot be forgotten. Scoring a goal is the biggest motivation for a football player. Now I am trying to continue the successful start. I work harder in training for this.
- Which position do you feel more comfortable in?
– They play me both in attack and in midfield. I have adapted to both positions. But when the opportunity arises, my main goal is to score. I want to benefit my team and stand out more.
- What are your future goals?
- My biggest dream right now is to get into the main team. This would be a big step for me. But in the long term, I want to be transferred to another country and play at a higher level. Because like every young football player, I want to test myself in bigger arenas. One of my biggest goals is to wear the "Real Madrid" uniform.
- Are there any transfer offers from other teams?
- As far as I know, there have been interested clubs, but my manager can provide more detailed information about this. My job is to show the best performance on the field, the manager takes care of other matters.
- You also play for the Azerbaijan U-18 national team. How do you assess the potential of the national team?
- Yes, I play for our U-18 national team. Our team is very strong, every player has high potential. Talented children play here and each of us tries to represent our country in the best way. I believe that this team will achieve even greater success in the future.
- How is the attitude towards young Azerbaijani football players abroad?
- I don't feel like a stranger here. The attitude towards me is very good. I feel the support of the people around me both within the club and in daily life. This also helps me to adapt quickly. Because I feel comfortable here, I can only focus on football.
