– We started strongly against "Zira" and created good dynamics, but in football, small details can change the fate of the game. We lost focus in key moments and the opponent took advantage of it. It is important for us to learn from these situations and better protect our advantage next time.
– It seems that the road to defeat started after Eshgin Ahmadov's individual mistake that resulted in a goal. Do you agree with this? After the game, did Eshgin receive criticism from his teammates for that episode, or did you support him?
– I don't think it's about one player's mistake. In football, we win together and we lose together. Such moments can happen to any player. Of course, as a team, we showed him our support. The main thing is how our team reacts in such situations and that we stay together. We trust each other completely.
– After the first 2 rounds, "Gabala" has 1 point in its assets. Are you satisfied with this result?
– Of course, we are not satisfied because our goal is higher. But this is just the beginning of the season. We understand that we can play better and we work harder every day to turn our games into results.
– You have created a lot of scoring opportunities in both championship games. In this case, what is your team missing to win?
– Yes, we create scoring opportunities, which is a positive thing. But the missing aspect is the finishing touches – it's about being more calm in front of the goal and making the right decisions in important moments. We also need to be more compact in defense. If we improve these, the results will come.
– You will be a guest of "Araz-Nakhchivan" in the next round. How do you assess the chances?
– We respect "Araz-Nakhchivan", this team is a difficult opponent, especially at home. But we also trust ourselves and our preparation. If we are careful and show our strengths, we believe that we will return from there with a positive result.
