– How is the preparation process for the new season going? You have already played one test match. What are your thoughts on the match with "Çorum" (1:1) and the summer preparation?
– Everything is going according to plan. We have finished the first stage of the training camp in Turkey. The second stage will cover July 24 – August 6. The atmosphere within the team is good, everything is in order. The match with "Çorum" was our first test match, the game went well. We hope to return to full form by holding our other test matches before the start of the championship.
– How many percent ready is the team for the new season at the current moment and will you be fully ready by the start of the championship?
– It is difficult to say how many percent ready we are at the moment. We are working with full force. We are doing our best to get as ready as possible before the championship.
– There are players leaving and new players arriving from the team. How will the changes in the squad affect "Turan Tovuz"? Are you satisfied with the level of the new transfers?
– Of course, it is always difficult to fill the place of those who leave. There is a process of adapting new players to the team. We are also doing our best to ensure that new transfers pass the adaptation period quickly. Yes, every football player who comes is qualified. I hope they will be of great help to the team.
– At the end of last season, you could not be among the teams that qualified for the European Cups. What are your expectations for the new season?
– We came very close to this last season, but it didn't happen. For the best… We will try to achieve better results in the new season.
– Our teams participating in the European Cup, as well as "Neftchi" and others, have attracted a large number of new football players to their squads and are currently strengthening. Does this give reason to say that the new season will be more difficult? Are you not afraid of the danger of staying out of the European Cups again?
– It is true that all teams are strengthening with new players. Considering that the clubs that won a place in the Premier League will also add color, we are expecting a more interesting and tense championship. We are aware of this and ready to compete.
– What goals have you set for yourself individually for the new season? Will you be able to become one of the football players who are regularly invited to the national team?
– As always, I want to show everyone a better Faig. I am working for this. Like every football player, I also always want to be invited to the national team and wear the national jersey.
