"Inter" goalkeeper Josep Martinez, who hit an elderly man in a wheelchair, has been given a week off and will see a psychologist. Sport24.az reports that this was reported by "La Gazzetta dello Sport."
The tragedy occurred on Tuesday morning near Inter's training ground. An 81-year-old man in a wheelchair entered the road and was hit by a car driven by Martinez. Martinez did everything he could to save the injured man, but he died in the hospital. Martinez is reportedly in shock after the incident. Law enforcement agencies will investigate all the details of the fatal accident.
It should be noted that Martinez moved to Inter from Genoa in 2024. The 27-year-old goalkeeper has played 12 games for the Nerazzurri.
