"We have added some players to our team during the transfer window. However, some transfers simply did not happen." Sport24.az reports that these words were said by the head coach of "Qarabagh", Gurban Gurbanov.
The experienced specialist, giving an interview to Azerbaijani Television, touched upon the failure of the striker's transfer:
"This was not a matter related to our desire. There are two football players that we wanted more. One was purely a striker, and the other was a left winger. We wanted to see these players in our team very much."
"Extensive negotiations took place with both clubs. The negotiations were changed by them every day. Different goals were set for us. Excessively large amounts were said during the agreement phase. I think if we had agreed to that, there would have been other negotiations. Maybe they approached us unprofessionally. That's why the negotiations stopped. The third player had two clubs, and there was a problem with the document. Believe me, we continued the negotiations until the end."
