Guardiola praises Nottingham Forest: They are a high-level team

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola spoke about the match against Nottingham Forest in the 18th round of the English Premier League.

Idman.Biz reports that the game ended with a 2:1 victory for City.

"Winter match away to Nottingham Forest... I know my memory can sometimes give me the wrong information, but when we won one of our six league titles, we had a lot of games like this. Considering the quality of our opponents, these are very important three points. Sean Dyche has built a real team, a very solid team. A few months ago, Nottingham Forest were fighting to qualify for the Champions League, Nuno Espirito Santo did a great job and that team managed to qualify for international competitions.

They also added new players to their squad: Hutchinson, Igor Jesus, Hudson-Odoi, Anderson, Gibbs-White - you can see how they play in defense, they love it - Milinkovic, Savona - I know him from Juventus last season; he can play as a centre-back. They are a high-level team. I understand that they are not going through their best period in terms of results right now, but this does not negate their quality or Sean Dyche's aggressive style of play, which is at the best level like no other team.

We talked about this as a team: we needed an incredible mental attitude. It's important to overcome difficult moments and defend, to accept that you can be better and stay in the game, otherwise you won't be able to win," Guardiola told City's official website.
