Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola has spoken about his team's 20-year-old midfielder Nico O'Reilly, who was named a finalist for the annual Golden Boy award, given to the best young player in Europe.
According to Idman.Biz, Guardiola believes that such awards and compliments should not distract football players.
"He always plays at a high level, but young players should be wary of the compliments they receive. Psychological stability is the most important thing in modern football. They need a 10-15 year career. If they have a problem in their heads, this is not possible. It is really great that he (O'Reilly) got into the national team. It is already very important for O'Reilly to be there," the club's official website quoted Guardiola as saying.
This season, O'Reilly has played 9 games for the club in all tournaments and has one assist.
