The first 16 rounds of the season in the Misli Premier League were marked by complaints from some head coaches regarding the grass cover of the stadiums where the games were held.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to futbolplus.az that Rashad Sadigov, the head coach of "Zira," and Valdas Dambrauskas, the coach of "Sabah," drew more attention to this issue. The complaints mainly concerned the Tovuz, Yevlakh city stadiums, and the stadium of the Guba Olympic Sports Complex.
The clubs' position on whether the problems will be resolved after the winter break has also been announced. Suleyman Tagiyev, the head of the press service of "Turan Tovuz," said that the newly planted natural grass cover will be fully restored by the home game against "Sumgayit" on January 25, and there is no need for additional intervention.
Kanan Kerimov, the sports director of "Karvan-Yevlakh," noted that the lawn of the Yevlakh city stadium meets UEFA standards. In addition, the club plans to equip the reserve field with natural grass cover and provide it with stands in the future. The project will start in the summer months.
The "Imishli" club, which plays its home games in Guba, has also taken steps to improve the lawn. Leyla Behbudlu, the head of the club's press service, said that since the stadium is under the balance of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, an appeal was made to the institution, and a positive response was received regarding the improvement of the grass cover during the winter break.
Thus, it is expected that complaints about the grass cover of stadiums will decrease in the second half of the Misli Premier League.
