Former "Juventus" and Italian national team striker Alessandro Del Piero is officially starting his coaching career.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, the 50-year-old legend of Italian football has announced that he has received the UEFA Pro license - the highest coaching category - which allows him to work as a head coach in high-level championships.
In a comment to the media, Del Piero humorously noted that he should now be called "Mister" - the traditional address to a coach in Italy.
Obtaining a license opens up wide prospects for the former footballer: from working with youth teams to Serie A and even the national team.
"From now on, you can call me "Mister." I thank the Italian Football Federation and all the teachers who accompanied me on this path. I am grateful to everyone who helped me and shared this important stage of learning with me," Del Piero emphasized.
