Düsseldorf "Fortuna", playing in the German II Bundesliga, is considering strengthening its attack line by adding Azerbaijani national team striker Mahir Emreli to its squad.
Idman.biz reports that "Fortuna" is considering several candidates to replace Icelandic player Isak Johannesson, who was sold to "Cologne" for 5.5 million euros some time ago.
Among these candidates are Emreli, who parted ways with "Nuremberg", as well as Cedric Itten from the Swiss club "Young Boys".
At the same time, "Fortuna"'s sporting director Klaus Allofs told "Bild" that not all the funds from Johannesson's sale will be spent on new transfers. According to him, the club prefers more economically viable decisions and cannot afford high transfer fees.
