The stadium located in the 17th micro-district of Sumgayit is currently in a neglected and unusable condition.
According to Idman.Biz, the long-term lack of supervision of the area has caused discontent among residents.
During discussions on social networks, local residents stated that this area functioned as a football stadium years ago and played an important role in the city's sports life. Especially in the 1980s, the stadium was one of the main football fields for schoolchildren and youth.
One of the local residents shared his memories of that period as follows:
"Perhaps the first people to chase a ball in this stadium were my peers. We are talking about the 1980s. I was one of the first first-graders to open at school number 4. That was about 48 years ago."
According to residents, the stadium, which was once a favorite place for children and teenagers, has now fallen into a completely neglected state. Neither sports infrastructure has been preserved in the area, nor is security ensured.
