The 2024/2025 season of the Misli Premier League has come to an end. Sport24.az has conducted another study related to the championship.
Six players failed to convert penalties in the completed season. Kristian Da Silva, the legionnaire of "Turan Tovuz", missed two 11-meter penalty kicks. In the 11th round, his penalty was saved by Rojerio Santos, the goalkeeper of "Kapaz". In the 13th round, the goalkeeper of "Sabail", Huseynali Guliyev, prevented Da Silva from scoring.
In addition, Jesse Sekidika from "Sabah" in the 11th round against "Neftchi" (goalkeeper: Rza Jafarov), Farid Nabiyev from "Sabail" in the 11th round against "Sumgayit" (goalkeeper: Mehdi Jannatov), Luis Pachu from "Kapaz" in the 15th round against "Shamakhi" (goalkeeper: Ricardo Fernandes), Rovlan Muradov from "Sumgayit" in the 21st round against "Araz-Nakhchivan" (goalkeeper: Kristian Avram), and Gismat Aliyev from "Zira" in the 29th round against "Qarabag" (Mateusz Kochalski) failed to convert penalties into goals.
It should be noted that the new season in the Azerbaijan Premier League will begin on August 15.
