Liverpool's attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz has been named German Footballer of the Year.
Idman.biz reports that the survey was conducted by the publication "Kicker".
The competition included players with German passports, as well as players of any nationality playing in the Bundesliga.
The winner was determined by the results of an annual survey among sports journalists.
Wirtz received 191 votes. Bayern midfielder Michael Olise came in second (81 votes), and Stuttgart forward Nick Woltemade came in third (71 votes).
It should be noted that last season, the 22-year-old German played 45 games for Bayer, scoring 16 goals and providing 15 assists. Last year, Wirtz came second in this nomination, losing to Toni Kroos.
