FIFA has made changes to the international match calendar for men's national teams for 2026–2030.
Idman.biz reports that "The Athletic" publication has reported on this.
It was reported that the breaks in September-October due to the national team's matches in the local leagues have been combined.
Instead of two separate breaks, there will now be a single international break that will last from the end of September to the beginning of October. During this period, teams will be able to hold up to four games.
As a result, there will be a break of approximately three weeks in the country leagues, including the Azerbaijan league, starting from September 21.
It should be reminded that there are currently 2 separate international breaks in September-October. The breaks start in the first full week of September and the second full week of October. Each national team can play a maximum of two games during these breaks.
