Idman.biz reports that these thoughts were expressed in an interview with AZERTAC by Brazilian midfielder Felipe Santos of the "Araz-Nakhchivan" club while discussing the first match in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League, in which they defeated the Greek club "Aris" with a score of 2:1.
Santos stated that he was happy about the victory: "Our team fought hard. I am very happy to have scored Araz-Nakhchivan's first goal in European cups. The main thing was for my team to leave the field with a victory, and we did it. Now we want to recover and achieve a successful result in the return match as well. The opponent has strengths, but we will do our best to pass the stage".
The Brazilian football player also emphasized that they want to go further in the Conference League: "We have a team that can do this. We just need to maintain our character. I believe that we will win in Greece as well and return to Azerbaijan with a historic victory".
It should be noted that the return match between the teams will be held in Greece on July 31.
