"Considering the positions that need strengthening, we plan to invite 4 or 5 more legionnaires to the team." Sport24.az reports that these words were said by Gabala President Fariz Najafov in an interview with AZERTAC while talking about the new season.
The functionary stated that negotiations are currently underway with some football players: "We are waiting for a response from some players. As we stated earlier, our academy graduates will be with us in the Premier League. Therefore, we are not considering inviting other local players yet."
Najafov emphasized that transfers are important for a number of positions: "We have to make transfers to other zones, except for the right and left positions of the defense."
It should be noted that Gabala has previously signed contracts with Prins Owusu (played from Gabala's U-19 team), Isaac Amoah (Atletico Sanluqueño, Spain), Paulo Quimbila (Al-Ahli, Bahrain) and Adriel Ba Loua (Caen, France).
