Fabio Capello, the former head coach of Milan, Roma, and Juventus, has stated that Italian football needs change and that the introduction of a new limit in Serie A is inevitable. The experienced specialist gave an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport regarding this:
"The approach to nurturing young players needs to change. Because the lack of talent in recent years is worrying. The most unfortunate thing is that it is not limited to one generation."
Capello also specifically noted the importance of implementing a limit in the Italian championship so that young people can play regularly:
"Young footballers need to be given more playing time in the first team. If it were up to me, I would force all teams in Serie A to use the services of at least three young Italians in every match."
