Today, the draws for the main stages of the UEFA Europa League and Conference League will take place.
Idman.biz reports that "Aston Villa", "Bologna", "Brann", "Go Ahead Eagles", and "Nottingham Forest" will participate in this stage of the Europa League for the first time since the introduction of the group/league stage (although "Aston Villa" and "Brann" have previously participated in the UEFA Cup group stage).
"Go Ahead Eagles" and "Nottingham Forest" will participate in the group or league stage of UEFA club tournaments for the first time ever.
"Crystal Palace", "Drita", "Hamrun Spartans", KuPS, "Rayo Vallecano", "Samsunspor", "Shelbourne", "Shkëndija", "Sigma Olomouc", and "Universitatea Craiova", who will play in the Conference League, will also compete in the league/group stage of European Cups for the first time.
"Hamrun Spartans" will even be the first Maltese club to play in the league/group stage of UEFA tournaments.
Poland will be the first country to be represented by four clubs in the group or league stage of the Conference League.
