Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca commented on the victory (4:1) over Benfica in the 1/8 finals of the Club World Championship. Sport24.az, referring to DAZN, reports that the Italian specialist said the following about his team's difficult match:
"I am proud of my team. The meeting ended in the 85th minute. Then the game was stopped and a completely new game started. It's not easy when you sit and wait for more than an hour. But we continued to play and I think we got the reward we deserved. We are in the top eight in this competition and we are very happy."
It should be noted that in the 85th minute, the referee stopped the game due to a storm in the stadium area, and for this reason the game continued two hours later. Chelsea won 4:1 with goals scored in extra time.
