Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has announced that Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernandes has been dropped from the squad for the next two games for violating disciplinary rules.
According to Report, citing Football London, this was due to the player's comments regarding a possible transfer to Real Madrid of Spain.
The head coach said that the 25-year-old footballer, according to the club's decision, will miss tomorrow's FA Cup 1/4 final against Port Vale and the Premier League match against Manchester City on April 12. He also said that Fernandes crossed the line that defines the club's culture and the system they want to build.
It should be noted that Enzo Fernandes, the 2022 World Champion with the Argentine national team, has scored 12 goals and made 6 assists in 46 matches for the Blues this season. He has been playing for the London club since January 2023.
