"It's always nice to receive an award. I thank everyone who chose my goal as the "Goal of the Month"." These words were said by Elgun Abbasli, the winner of the "Goal of the Month" project in the Second League, in his statement to Sport24.az.
The "Fuzuli" player shared his joy about the events:
"In the Second League, really attractive, beautiful goals are scored. This time the award was my fate. Although I didn't know I would win from the beginning, the goal I scored gave me pleasure. Most importantly, this goal brought an important victory to my team - "Fuzuli". Therefore, it is doubly valuable for me. I repeat, we have many good football players who score attractive goals in the Second League. But for the month of April, I would still choose my own goal."
It should be noted that "Fuzuli" is in the last place in the tournament table with 15 points after 26 rounds. It has been confirmed that the team will leave the Second League.
