Eldaniz Yusubov, Executive Director of "Araz-Nakhchivan," gave an interview to Sport24.az.
- How do you assess the first half of the season for the team?
- I think it's too early to assess it as a whole. For the first half of the season, the team is in the group of leaders. The point difference between us and our opponents in the tournament table is not big. Therefore, we can evaluate our performance as normal.
- 11 games, 19 points. What was missing to have more?
- Of course, it could have been more. Everyone wants to finish the first half of the season with minimal point loss. Our championship has strengthened. At least 6 of our opponents are fighting for European cups. There is a reason why we scored 19 points in 11 games.
- What goal was set for the team at the beginning of the season?
- The team's goal remains unchanged. We want to be among the prize winners at least and go to the European Cups.
- The legionnaire limit has been abolished this season. Do you feel any changes in the championship?
- 1/3 of the championship is over. We need time to evaluate this. The number of legionnaires has increased, and teams prefer more foreign players. There are high-level legionnaires.
- Does it seem realistic for the team to hold home games in Nakhchivan in the near future?
- We expect work to start soon. Holding our home games in Nakhchivan will take at least until the next season. There may be other decisions, but since repair work has not started, we cannot say an approximate time. I think if all the work is completed successfully, we can see the team in Nakhchivan next season.
